Blame AT&T greed for me having to portion with my Blackberry Storm. It hurts. Now that I have switched to Sprint's $69.99 per month for unlimited everything, and my unlocked Blackberry Storm will not operate on the Sprint network, I had to get a distinct phone from Sprint.

Then it dawned on me: It was not sufficient to yank my SIM card from the Blackberry I still had a great number of contacts on the phone's challenging drive. And I didn't want all that details in the incorrect hands, particularly when I was thinking of giving my the Blackberry to my daughter, to my son, selling it or recycling it. Whichever selection I made, I necessary to erase all information from the phone.

If you have a reason to erase information from your Blackberry Storm, here are the uncomplicated steps - the method is known as a Wipe as in "wipe clean".

1. Press the Menu button with the blackberry logo.
   
2. From your Blackberry's residence screen, pick Options.
   
3. Scroll down and select Security Alternatives.
   
4. Pick Security Wipe.
   
5. Select the Data solution or whatever the equivalent is. If you put to use your phone for emails and want to erase Emails, Contacts, and so on, check that box too.
   
6. Press menu button to choose Show Keyboard.
   
7. Kind the word blackberry in the text box, and press the return.
   
8. Click Wipe.

I am not particular if this process works on other Blackberry models. If you have a model other than the Storm, you may well want to check the user's manual or check the Blackberry website for internet support.
